Local Storage is an industry-standard technology that allows us to store data locally on your browser. We primarily use this to store your encrypted JSON Web Tokens (JWT) to maintain your secure session without needing to re-authenticate on every API call.

These are required for the fundamental operation of the Service. Because our platform manages sensitive physical IoT hardware, these cannot be disabled.

  • Authentication: Storing secure session tokens to verify your identity.
  • Security: Cloudflare Turnstile tokens used exclusively to prevent automated bot attacks and brute-force logins.
  • Routing: Load-balancing cookies to ensure your API requests hit the correct server cluster.

2.2 Performance and Analytics

These technologies allow us to monitor the operational health of our dashboard and understand how users interact with our UI.

  • Error Tracking: Detecting if a specific page crashes or fails to load a sensor chart.
  • Usage Metrics: Aggregating anonymous data (e.g., "how many users clicked the 'Export CSV' button") so we can prioritize development.

2.3 Marketing and Targeting

These are used to deliver relevant promotional content to you based on your interests and to measure the effectiveness of our B2B advertising campaigns. (Note: These are only used on our public landing pages, never inside the authenticated IoT dashboard).

3. How Can You Control Cookies?

3.1 Browser Controls

You can set or amend your web browser controls to accept or refuse cookies. If you choose to reject strictly necessary cookies/local storage, your access to the SensoCAN IoT platform will be entirely blocked, as session authentication cannot function.

3.2 Global Privacy Control (GPC)

We respect the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal transmitted by compatible browsers. If our systems detect the GPC signal, we will automatically opt you out of all non-essential Performance and Marketing technologies.
